SL expatriates in China paid tribute to the fallen war heroes in Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan community living in China paid tribute to the fallen war heroes in Sri Lanka at the Sri Lanka Embassy in Beijing on 7th June, 2008 on Ranaviru Commemoration Day.
Senior Military Officers who are following the National Defence Course in the National Defence University and the Air Defence Command College in Beijing Participated in the event.

The religious dignitaries of the four major religions in Sri Lanka also conducted religious ceremonies. Flowers were placed and oil lamps and candles were lit at the specially arranged monument to pay respect to the heroes.

Addressing the gathering, the Sri Lankan Ambassador said that the Government has initiated many activities to boost the morale of the security forces and also launched a planned development programme and sustainable livelihood program for the benefit of the people in the liberated areas.
