SL now World`s 3rd most dangerous place for Journalists -Seneviratne UNP M.P.

Referring to the brutal assault on The Nation Newspaper Editor, Keith Noyahr, UNP M.P. Lakshman Seneviratne, said the Government cannot escape culpability in respect of this incident. It is to be noted that Noyahr wrote the Defence column on May 11 before he was attacked. He said Sri Lanka is now disdainfully considered as the 3rd most dangerous place in the world.

"What right does the Defence secretary, Gotabaya Rajapakse have to summon the President and Secretary of the Working journalists association and threaten them? He asked. He too is just a Public servant, he added

It is a matter for deep regret that from the President downwards in the Government are not dedicated to serve the people. They are only trained to scrounge on the people, he exhorted.
