Tamil Nadu authorities probe alleged child labour case

Officials from the Tamil Nadu labour department are investigating allegations of child labour plaguing the Bhavanisagar refugee camp involving Sri Lankan children. Meanwhile campaigners were scheduled to demonstrate outside Primark’s flagship London branch today, accusing the cut-price fashion chain of behaving irresponsibly in response to allegations of child labour in its overseas manufacturing operations.
