Three LTTE land mines removed- Vavuniya

Sri Lanka army soldiers while engaged in a route clearing patrol on the Pirappamadu-Mahakachchakudi road in Vavuniya removed three land mines laid by LTTE terrorists this morning (June 2).

According to the defence sources, the 3 mines had been placed on top of the other. The mines were about 8 kg each, the sources added.
