Three terrorist killed, two injured , 106 anti personnel mines recovered

Three LTTE terrorists were killed while two others were injured when the Army launched a massive attack in the ALANKULAM and NEDUNKANDAL AREA , MANNAR on Friday (06) .

106 (one hundred and six) x Anti personnel mines and one 60mm mortar bomb were also recovered in the search operations conducted by Troops in the area after the attack.

Three soldiers were reported wounded in action.

Meanwhile , THREE (03) civilians who were residents of un-cleared areas reported to the Security Forces in PALLIMUNAI, MANNAR, on the same day (06) after they had escaped from the continuous harassment by the terrorists .
