UNP and SLMC are attempting to create a lawless situation

Chief Minister of Eastern Province Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan says the United National Party and the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress are attempting to create a lawless situation in the Eastern Province due to the defeat they faced in the provincial council election.
Speaking at a media briefing held at Batticaloa yesterday the Chief Minister said a democratic environment has now been created after the LTTE terrorism is defeated in the province. However, he accused the UNP and the SLMC want to disrupt the peaceful situation in the province.
