UNP appoints 2 committees to report on PC elections

The Leader of the UNP has appointed two Committees to report on the following elections to the North Central and Sabaragamuwa Provincial Councils. Mr. Lakshman Kiriella, MP, chairs the committee in regard to North Central Province and Mr. Ravindra Samaraweera, MP, chairs the committee on Sabaragamuwa Province.

On receipt of these reports, the UNP will decide on the final campaign strategy, candidates to be nominated and the campaign management structure.

Two months ago the Leader also appointed 17 members including retired Public Officers to report on the strengths of the party organisation in the 17 Districts outside the North and East. They have not yet submitted their reports.
