Boycott of CBK rallies

UPFA members of the Attanagalla Pradeshiya Sabha have taken a decision not to attend any meetings and rallies which former President Chandrika Kumaratunga would attend in the future.

UPFA member Priyantha Pushpakumara, who is also a coordinating officer of the President, said that the former President had requested President Mahinda Rajapaksa to appoint Pradeshiya Sabha member Ranjith Rupasinghe as the SLFP’s Attanagalla district organizer.

However, President Rajapaksa had appointed Parliamentarian Sarana Gunawardane as the SLFP’s Attanagalla district organizer.
