Govt. decides against signing CEPA
posted by Editor at 12:28 PMThe government has finally decided against signing the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with India.
After years of talks, the pact was decided to be inked on the sidelines of the 15th SAARC summit in Colombo.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa informed the Economic Advisory Committee meeting at Temple Trees yesterday (July 29th) of the decision, saying that CEPA would not be economically beneficial for Sri Lanka.
