Hisbullah's party gets appointment with Indian PM, but eastern Chief Minister fails

An All Ceylon Muslim Congress which includes four ministers and eastern provincial council minister M.L.A.M. Hizbullah are meeting with the Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

Issues concerning Muslims and development of the eastern province are due to be taken up, Mr. Hisbullah said.

Meanwhile Eastern Provincial Council Chief minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan who has made a request to meet the Indian Prime Minister has so far failed to gain a positive response.

The TNA is to meet with the Indian PM on Saturday.
