Key LTTE gathering point raided by SLAF

SLAF fighter craft launched air strikes at a LTTE gathering point in general area Vaddakachchi in the non-liberated Kilinochchi district this evening at 3.30.

According to defence sources, the air raid was taken based on real time ground information received.
Meanwhile Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara said one of their fighter jet which carried out air strikes at the Vaddakachchi was crashed at the Katunayaka Air Force Runnerway due to the technical fault of its landing wheel.But he said the jet was slightly damaged and no damages for the runnerway and the Pilot.
