LTTE cadres lose faith with the leadership, three surrenders to Army

Three LTTE cadres surrendered to the Army on Thursday (July 24) at two different locations on the Wanni battlefront. According to the defence sources , two Tamil youth had surrendered themselves in the Mallavi area while the other on the Welioya front.

The two surrendered at Mallavi were residents of Jaffna while the other surrendered at Welioya was from Gampola area, the sources said.

According to the sources, All threes surrendees had stated that the LTTE is at its last legs and many of its cadres are waiting for an opportunity to seek protection with the security forces. The surrendees were handed over to the police in order to direct them for rehabilitation , the sources added.
