LTTE special training facility hit in SLAF air strikes- Mullaittivu

SLAF fighter jets launched precision air strikes Tuesday (July 22) at a pre-identified LTTE training facility located Northeast of Uddayrakattukulam in the embattled Mullaittivu district at around 8.15a.m.

According to Air Force Spokesperson Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara, the facility has been used for training of high profile LTTE cadres and military observations have confirmed intense terrorist activities at the target site.

Udayarkattukulam area is considered as an LTTE nerve center in the Mullaittivu district, defence sources said adding that the center has also been used for special training and 'leaders' capacity training by the terrorist outfit.

The LTTE is yet to reveal losses, defence sources further said.
