Major trade union convention on July 18

Trade unions are to convene a special convention in Colombo on July 18th to discuss a major union action to press for economic demands of the working people.
Secretary of the Trade Unions Federation Saman Ratnapriya said that related discussions were already underway between trade union leaders.

The JVP-affiliate National Trade Unions Centre has also been invited to the meeting, he added.
