Media refused copies of answers to questions

The Parliament’s Hansard Department officials who usually give copies of answers to questions in Parliament raised in the House by members to the media, said yesterday that they could not do so as they have been asked by an official not to do so.

Speaker W. J. M. Lokubandara, said he had not given such instructions and that he would look into the matter and requested that he be informed in writing about the problem.
