Report to AG soon on Minister Mervin Silva firing case against JVP supporter

Police will shortly submit a report to the Attorney General on the incident where Minister Mervin Silva had forcibly entered a shop belonging to JVP supporters in the Polonnaruwa district and opened fire damaging his shop and a motorbike.

Police spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekera said that Aranaganwila the Police are wrapping up the investigations and a report will be sent to the AG soon for legal proceedings to commence.

However a JVP spokesman said so far no action ahs been taken against the Minister despite a complaint being lodged with the Police.
