Rs. 5 million reward for information on Namal’s assailants

The Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI), together with the Newspaper Publishers Association, has offered a reward of Rs. 5 million for information regarding the persons who had assaulted SLPI journalist Namal Perera.
At a media briefing in Colombo today (July 02nd), newspaper publishers said that information can be given to telephone number 0033 147 777 414 or sent to mail address Helppresssrilanka@gmail.comThis e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , using a secret symbol to preserve the secrecy of the sender's identity.

After the culprits are arrested and brought to book, the informant can collect the prize money by coming forward and using his secret symbol, they added.

The SLPI and the NPA further said that they expect public assistance to expose the attackers, for the sake of the families of media personnel who are facing threats.
