Annual General Meeting of the Chamber of Construction Industry

5th Annual General Meeting of the incorporated Chamber of Construction Industry Sri Lanka will be held on 30th Sept. 2008 at the Ballroom of Hotel Galadari, Colombo.

The AGM will commence at 5.45 p.m. and will be followed by a Forum, Fellowship and cocktail reception. Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, Minister of Construction and Engineering Services will be the Chief Guest. Hon. Prof. G.L. Peiris, M.P. Minister of Export Development and International Trade will deliver the keynote address at 7.15 p.m.


Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, a corporate member of the Chamber will make a presentation on “Investment Opportunities in Sri Lanka”.


Representatives of Founder member associations such as Sri Lanka Institute of Architects, Institute of Town Planners of Sri Lanka, The Surveyors Institute of Sri Lanka, Institute of Valuers of Sri Lanka, Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka, Insurance Association of Sri Lanka, The Association of Consulting Engineers, Sri Lanka and National Construction Association of Sri Lanka, with statutory agency members, corporate members and individual members are expected to attend the AGM at which the office bearers and members to the council will be elected.

Archt./Plnr. Deshabandu Surath Wickramasinghe and Vice Presidents Eng. D.D. Wijemanna, Valuer S.N. Wijepala and Archt. Rukshan Widyalankara who have been holding office from the very inception of the Chamber which was established in the year 2001 are expected to be re-elected without a contest.
