Warrants on Emerald Finance directors
posted by Editor at 10:11 AMIn a case filed by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka in the Kandy Primary Court against Emerald Private Finance Company of Gampola, Kandy Primary Judge Nandana Weerasinghe ordered the new directorate of the finance company to submit to the Central Bank withi a month, the details of the accounts of all depositors of the finance company.
Following a motion by the state counsel, the judge issued warrants on the Directors of the finance company who were not present in court.
The Central Bank was represented by the State Counsel, Attorney-at-law Ananda Kumara Herath appeared for the defendants who were required to be present in court on December 11.
