Another gold medal for Sri Lanka at Commonwealth Games in India

Sri Lankan men’s 4x100m relay team earned another gold medal at the Third Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India yesterday evening.

In the finals Sri Lankan team of Ranil Shehan Jayawardena, Dewage Roshan Chamara Silva, Keith Thishan De Mel and Shehan Sadaruwan Abeypitiyage won the event establishing a new games record with a time of 40.85 seconds.

Today is the fifth day of the youth Commonwealth games and few other Sri Lankan athletes are scheduled to participate in their finals this evening.
