The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka granted investment approval to Demak Manufacturing Lanka Limited. Mr. Dhammika Perera, Chairman / Director General signed the agreement on behalf of the BOI and formally presented the BOI Certificate of Registration to Mr. Gao Rong, Chief Executive Officer of DNC Asiatic Holdings SDN. BHD.

Demak Manufacturing Lanka Limited signed the agreement for a venture to manufacture a wide range of Motor Cycles, Bikes and Scooters and spare parts. The venture is an investment of over US $ 16 million, providing employment for a workforce of 200 initially. The investment for the venture is sponsored by Malaysian based DNC Asiatic Holdings SDN. BHD.

DNC Asiatic Holdings, has proved its own success story in the competitive Asian motorcycle industry in the years it has been operational. The company has been successfully building up and promoting their brand “DEMAK” and its series motorcycle products. DNC has successfully produced and marketed more than more than 20 models of motorcycles under DEMAK brand, covering Scooters, mopeds, utility and sports, series and accessories.

DNC has secured a solid market share in Malaysia, as well as reliable production capacity, widely-covered marketing and servicing networks, self-owned market-oriented designing capability, as well as a highly professional and efficient management system within the group.

“The production done would be mainly targeted for the export market while the products would also be available locally” stated Kent Kee, Director. Commercial Operations of Demak Manufacturing Lanka is expected to start in 5 months.

Mr. Gao Rong, Chief Executive Officer and Ms. Hu Ying, Director signed the agreement on behalf of the company. Mr. Kent Kee, Director was also present at the occasion.
