Schools in Batticaloa remained closed today as a park of protest over the abduction of an eight year old school girl on Tuesday from near her school.

The missing girl has been identified as Sadishkumar Nirushika a student of Batticaloa Kottamunai School. Her father too had reportedly gone missing a few years ago and has not been found till date.
