The Delhi police have indicated that they will oppose any bail application by the activists of the Puthiya Tamilagam (PT) led by Dr K Krishnaswamy, in a case relating to the attack on the Sri Lankan High Commission in the capital on October 2, according to Sri Lankan official sources.

The sources told Express here on Friday, that video clippings of the attack had showed that 14 attackers belonged to the PT. Three of them had earlier been accused of murder and extortion. The sources added that on October 18, the Madras High Court had given them bail for a limited period and ordered them to approach the Delhi Metropolitan Magistrate thereafter. This would have be to done by mid-November.
