A fire broke out in a famous cinema hall ‘Nimalendra’ in Upuppiddi, Velvettithurai Jaffna last night, Police said.

However Jaffna MC fire brigade along with the Gemunu Hewa Regiment and the Police were able to control the spreading of the fire due to a short circuit.

No reports of injuries have been reported.
