For the first time in 30 years, Indian artistes performed yesterday (Mar. 13) at the historic Thirukethiswaran Sivan Kovil in Mannar.

The All Ceylon Hindu Congress and the Indian high commission in Colombo had arranged for the performance.

Renowned devotional musicians Shrimathi Vijayalakshmi and Shrimathi Meenakshi Srinivasan performed for the large gathering of devotees on Maha Sivarathri Day.
