Ms. Shivageetha Prabakaran, Mayoress of Batticaloa MC who supported apolitical Common Candidate at the presidential election has decided to support the government at the forthcoming general election. According to a spokesman from her office Ms. Prabakaran has taken this decision on a request from the government.

What really influenced the Mayoress to take the decision has not been revealed yet.
